HOW PRIESTLEY HELPED ME SECURE MY PLACE AT OXFORD…

Charlotte is a former Saints Peter & Paul Catholic High School pupil who studied Chemistry, Geology, Maths, Physics and the High Achievers’ Programme at Priestley College.

She is now at Oxford studying Earth Sciences, which she describes as a dream come true and added that the support she received from Priestley was invaluable.

“Every teacher is there to support you and help you do the best that you feel that you can do,” she said. “If you want to get those grades they will absolutely be the best support they can be.”

Our STEM-assured status has been described as the national ‘gold standard’ for these subjects.

It means we attract some of the brightest young minds to study these subjects as our results and achievements across Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths demonstrate.

Priestley’s STEM status is determined by the quality of its teachers, facilities such as university-standard laboratories and the technology centre, as well as our links with major employers.

More than 60 organisations provide work experience, workshops or assignments including Oxford University, the Environment Agency, Sellafield, Barclays, Warrington Borough Council and the MoD.
