Travelling to Priestley College

There are many ways to travel to Priestley and as a college we encourage our students to consider eco-friendly transport where possible.

We recommend applying for the 16-17 Saver or 16-25 railcard or taking advantage of various passes offered by Warrington’s Own Buses, Arriva, and Go North West. Priestley also offers a number of subsidised direct buses. In 2026 these services included:

• P1 – Helsby, Frodsham
• P2 – Runcorn, Widnes, Penketh, Sankey Bridges
• P3 – Great Sankey, Chapelford
• P4 – Winwick, Culcheth, Birchwood, Padgate
• P5 – Irlam, Cadishead, Hollins Green
• P6 – Golborne, Lowton, Newton, Winwick
• P9 – Weaverham, Cuddington, Northwich, Great Budworth
• P9e – Cuddington, Weaverham

Driving to College
Parking at college is limited, so wherever possible, we encourage students to consider alternative ways of travelling to college. Student car park passes are available to Second Year students who live more than three miles from college, with First Year students also able to apply for a permit where there are exceptional circumstances.

Walking to College
Anyone walking has a choice of routes from around the town and we are just 15 minutes from the centre of Warrington. The college is located just off the A49 (Wilderspool Causeway), and within walking distance of Warrington’s bus and train stations.

Cycling to College
For those who choose to cycle there are ample spaces and a lock-up at the back of the campus.

Life after Priestley

We are proud of our alumni who have gone on to make a real difference in the world in the most incredible and varied ways. Whether that be joining the vanguard in the fight against malaria, entertaining thousands on the West End stage or playing rugby for Warrington Wolves, they have all pursued their dreams to make them become reality.

Here are just a few of our alumni who have gone on to great things and we truly believe that if you choose Priestley College we can help you achieve your goals as well.
