Travelling to Priestley College

There are many ways to travel to Priestley and as a college we encourage our students to consider eco-friendly transport where possible.
We recommend applying for the 16-17 Saver or 16-25 railcard or taking advantage of various passes offered by Warrington’s Own Buses, Arriva, and Go North West. Priestley also offers a number of subsidised direct buses. In 2025 these services included:
- P1 Helsby and Frodsham
- P2 Runcorn, Widnes, Penketh
- P2A Widnes, Penketh
- P4 Culcheth, Birchwood, Padgate
- P5 Irlam, Cadishead, Hollins Green
- P5A Martinscroft, Woolston, Bruche
- P6 Golborne, Newton-le-Willows, Winwick
- P8 Lymm, Grappenhall, Stockton Heath
- P9 Weaverham, Cuddington, Northwich, Great Budworth
Driving to College
Parking is limited at college and we do discourage students from driving if possible. Second Years who live more than three miles from college are allocated passes for the student car park, but permits are given to First Years in exceptional circumstances.
Walking to College
Anyone walking has a choice of routes from around the town and we are just 15 minutes from the centre of Warrington. The college is located just off the A49 (Wilderspool Causeway), and within walking distance of Warrington’s bus and train stations.
Cycling to College
For those who choose to cycle there is a lock-up at the back of the campus and ample spaces on the driveway.
