Reasons to study Information Technology (BTEC Level 3)
You will develop a range of practical IT skills that are transferable to both workplace or higher education. There are opportunities to solve real-world problems and apply your theoretical knowledge. You will get to use a variety of IT applications and will get to become an expert user of a wide variety of systems.

Topics will include Cyber Security, Database Development, Website Development and Information Technology Systems.

Externally set coursework projects.

Progression
Many IT students go on to study degrees in Information Management, Digital Management Solutions, Computer Networks Security or Computer Science. This qualification will equip you with a broad range of technical skills, which are suitable for employment or an apprenticeship.

Study Programme
A-Level and Vocational (Level 3) students are expected to follow a full study programme of three plus one AS-Level courses/equivalents. Your study programme can, however, include a Specialism as one of your choices.
